Letterpress Printing at Railway Station Press
This Chandler & Price Pilot press is a wonderful press for getting that feel of the lead type being pressed into the paper. We do greeting cards and envelopes on this press. We teach the workshops on this press.  The chase is 6 1/2 by 10 inches.
Chandler & Price Pilot
Chandler & Price 10 x 15 Oldstyle
Our largest press is this Chandler & Price Oldstyle which was donated by John Patterson of Culpeper, Virginia. It has a chase size of 10 by 15 inches.  By the serial number we know it was manufactured in 1911. We purchased new rollers and now have it running.  We have ordered a foot treadle and hook for it.
Kelsey 3x5 Tabletop Press
This Kelsey 3x5 Tabletop Press is in great shape. We bought it on eBay and mounted it on a red oak board with rubber feet. It is surprisingly heavy for it's size. We have used it to print but the quality just can not compare to the Pilot. It was our first press.
Granite Imposing Stone
This granite imposing stone provides a wonderful working area to lock type up in the chase. The granite stone is two to three inches thick making the table quite heavy to move. More modern imposing surfaces are made of metal.
